KOTDs, and some gentle history.

This is my Lichtenstein/Warhol inspired konadi.....I love the dots. This pink is so very bright, I almost didn't put anything over it, I just kept staring and "petting" it, literally.... I loved the application and the color saturation was POW....

1. DC Super Base.
2. 2 coats Color Club Warhol.
3. 1 coat DC Super dry before stamping.
4. Plate m60 stamped with Color Club Worth the Risque.
5. Little yellow daisy/sun from C01.
6. Seche Vite.

This konadi was from yesterday. A little history of Philippi, WV (where I live) ....This place floods. OK, history lesson over. LOL - So with all this snow melting and now with rain being forecasted for the next several days, we are in for some soggy messes....So much that they had an early dismissal for our schools yesterday. When I got the "robo-call" from the county, I immediately got an idea to do a water/blue nail thing.....funny thing, though, just as I stamped that subtle water thingy, the glorious sun (I MEAN BEEEEERIGHT) sun came through the sky light in my bathroom and was nearly blinding. That's when I decided to add those little sun-like flowers....

1. DC Super Base.
2. 2 Coats Suzi Says Feng Shui (OMGsh, this blue is awesome)
3. OPI Absolutely Alice for skinny French tips.
4. DC Super dry before stamping.
5. fauxnad plate GCOCL D02 stamped with Konad Blue Pearl and Yellow/White mixed.
6. Seche Vite.

I have also been using Orly Flash Dry lately. I only have it because it came free with something I ordered, somewhere....I have so much stuff, I can't remember.....

P.S. - I love the tags I have gotten lately, I promise, I am going to do the "things I love"....lists - I swear! My time has been a little short - senior picture ordering and editing season is really here. My business is booming, and my orders are taking up my time....I'll get around to it...Ladies, I appreciate EVERY ONE of them and love getting tagged.

V-Day Mani....UGH.

I did this last night...I don't really like it, but eh, thought I'd post it anyway....maybe someone out there will get some (albeit little) inspiration. Now, I don't hate Valentine's Day - it has been so much sweeter since I married the Commish - but my fraternal Grandmother died on V-Day when I was in Junior High....it just gives me a little pit in my stomach....

Anyway, on to the sunnier, happier, heart-filled, pinkish, reddish, so-so konadicure: (You know I am laughing right now!) :B

1. DC Super Base
2. DC Sugar Coat Me (two coats)
3. DC Super Dry (before stamping)
4. M73 stamped with OPI Pearl Of Wisdom, and then again with OPI Thanks So Muchness
5. M59 stamped with OPI TSM....on ring and thumb (oops, forgot to photograph thumbkin)
6. Seche (two coats)

I am absolutely loving the Diamond Cosmetics line....the 1st coat is usually a little streaky, but the 2nd coat literally melts in to it and causes this beautiful, creamy delight! These polishes are very thick, and also stamp well because of it! Can't wait to get my hands on more of these little beauts!

For all of you who have had "shrinkage" (gosh, I can't say that word without thinking of a certain Seinfeld episode!!!!!!!) problems with Seche, well, this is my first wonk! WTH???? Did I not wait long enough to apply? Did I wait too long? Did I not get close enough to the cuticle?

The world may never know............

Luckily, this was the only nail affected and I have already done away with this mani...in favor of an "Olympic" theme....then on to "Chinese New Year"....just thinking out loud again.

Wait! Here is a scandalous pic for you......

ahhhhhhh! NAKED NAILS!

Look how sad they are....a snowy day, water droplets on the sliding glass door, just like little tears! (yeah, I'm laughing again....)

Have a GREAT day.

I am BUSTED!!!!

Hello all! I have a confession to make.....the Konadicure you are about to see is not an original idea. I TOTALLY "borrowed" this from Tuli - here. Don't worry, I was going to give full credit, but wouldn't you know there was a link from this week's "Lacquer Link Love" Roundup.
Here's how Wednesday's thought process went:
1. Checked the blogs I follow.
2. Found this "one"
3. Love the red and white/Japanese thing....
4. I have "Off With Her Red" I haven't used, yet...
5. Hey, I have plate M24 with that "Eastern" symbol on it.
6. Ooo, what about using Konad Black Gold?

I loved it sooooo much, I just changed today! You all know that is a huge feat when it comes to our nails, right!?!? Sometimes I change polish 2 or 3 times a day!

So Tuli, thanks for the inspiration!

But, on to not-so scandalous things: I got an OC Nailart Haul.....new plates! Kathleen is the B E S T! She always puts a little hand-written "thank you" on the invoice. Great customer service!

Days of Haulin'

Woot!

I have so many new hauls from the past week....and there is no end in sight. I just love all the blogs I am reading and following (hint-hint! Every time I see a new color or design, my artiste brain (I am a musician and photographer, ya know) just goes bonkers. Even if I never use half of the colors I have ~*yea right*~ they are like a crown filled with jewels....I just can't stop looking at them; the little sparkles, glitters, hexes, mattes, cremes - am I just plain crazy? YEP!

Grab something, hold on - here comes my "haul":

"Go ask ALICE.....when she's 10 feet tall"

I'm sure it's been done, but deed, I love the snow! These colors are so deep and beautiful. Not to mention, I got them for about $12 on Head2Toe Beauty Store.

I scored this for $8:

And these were $2.99 each: 1 Secret Peri-wink-Le (which I absolutely LOVE), 1 Neon Orange Knockout, 1 Custom Kicks and 1 Blk-Bila-Bong. I thought the last would be more black, but it really has a lot of dark blue, oh well.... ;)

Now imagine if all of these came to your house on the same day!!!!! OH JOY! (yes, they did) I could barely stand it.
CG in "Refresh-mint", "Fairy Dust" and "Watermelon Rind".....
The long-awaited and coveted KHROME collection...... (I know, thou shalt not covet....I couldn't help it!)
Here begins my "drugstore" haul. These were on sale BOGO 1/2 at Kroger.

Sally Hansens were on clearance for $1.80 each.....
These SH were on clearance for $2.83.....
Picked these up at Rite-Aid, again SH was BOGO 1/2 and the CQ and Wn'W were $1.99 each.
L to R: CQ Night, Wn'W Craze in Jade, SH Xtreme Wear in Green With Envy and SH Insta-Dry in sonic Boom.

Icing "Mall Haul".....Laura's Fave. I think this may be as close to Tiffany as I can find right now - it does have a hint of gold shimmer, but I can deal. It was $4.99. The Blackout was $2.25......?????????

And yesterday, was Konad haul day. LOVE OC NailArt....the prices are the best, and the service is even better. From Cali to WV in 3 days. I can't tell you how quick that is.
M21, M38, M57, M63, M71. I will be doing all my business here!

New CG Mani!

Here is my newest mani. I'll have to tell about it later - gotta go teach some music to some kiddos! It is CG Recycle, OPI Mad as a Hatter and some free-hand (comet-like) Art Deco in white....
