Leopard for Landa

When I first started blogging, I got so much encouragement from several established bloggers who were more than happy to help me on this crazy nail journey! Over the past few years, we have all stayed cyber-friends and become a nice little network of friends. I have had the most wonderful conversations with these girls, whether I needed a bit of encouragement or a swift kick in the pants!

Because I love my girls so, I am going to try and do some "Tribute" nails based on their designs and/or blogs.

Much thanks to Landa for being a great far-away friend! Love you, girl!

Here is what I used.
Caronia -"Sweet Surprise"
Caronia - "First Crush"
Cult Nails -"Devious Nature"
Muwah! -"Jess Kidding"

To do this design, I painted a yellow stripe down the middle of every nail, then sponged purple and pink on the sides.

I stamped with Konad Special Black using M57.

AND here is my final product! Love my Landa! Thank you for being YOU!

Couple-a Swatchy things.

A couple of my favorite (for now, at least LOL) swap polishes!

Catrice "Dirty Berry"....oh, a lemming come true! Periwinkle-y, blue/purple with an "oh, so subtle" holo. More of a micro glitter, really, but gorgeous! From the beautiful, Martje of

(full evening sun)

Gigi LOVES this color - especially when I scratch her "ooh, right there"!!!!

Now, THIS is a rockin' color. I am wearing it right now, thanks to my lovely Lily and her most awesome swaps! She always surprises me with new colors from this line, and they are wonderful quality! This is 2 coats and of course, my Seche!
(inside, flash)

(inside, no flash, sun through sky light)

(morning sun, through my screened in porch).

Here is that screened porch - yes, looks a little sad, right? Well, we are putting on new screens next week and are frantically searching for cool furniture to put out here. We sold the old redwood stuff at a yard sale last week. I want to be able to use this space to entertain, so we are looking for nice dining furniture that is OK to be outside, but protected.

TINS and stamps

This was a swap polish from a LONG time ago - so long ago, that I forgot who sent it to me! It is beautiful on it's own....TiNS, "The Prestige Champagne". 1 coat!

But, of course, I couldn't leave it alone. LOL! Enjoy!

I stamped using Special Polish in Psyche Pink, Cool Red and Pop Green
I stamped all over with BM-203, then used HB 42 and H06 to add the other details.

VERY quick post and VERY orange crackle!

Burst Crackle #6, "Orange Delight", over 2 coats of Orly "White Out".

So, we all know how hard it is to get neons to behave properly in photos, but the reflection in my sliding glass door is pretty accurate. I love this look and this bright orange!

And Gigi cuteness!!!!!

Well, I partied like it was "1999", but I forgot my Raspberry Beret....bummer. I did, however wear this awesome mani - I wish my name was Nikki and I had a Little Red Corvette.

(outside, full sun, no flash)

Inside - with flash.

Ring finger detail - with flash.

Here is what I used:

1. essence "Blossoms etc......." in Bloom-a-loom (1 coat!).
2. Fauxnad A13 plate for pinky.
3. FABurNAILS by JAKS plate (custom) for ring finger.
4. thumb is C-D XL plate C.
(all were stamped using Konad Special in Violet).

The squares and tears are from Dollar Nail Art, because I love cheap....and I couldn't find a "Dove" I just did the "Cry" part. Yes.

Happy Birthday Prince!!!!

Baseball and Flowers

REALLY quick mani today. Now, we have all seen these Misa polishes, and yet again, I can confirm the beauty and wear of this polish. Why, you ask? Because I did this little design on THURSDAY. (um, today is Tuesday....that is day 5!!!). There is a little tip wear, but I think for 5 days, it is manageable. I could touch it up a little, but, I'm going to throw a change-up. ;)

Misa - Mermaid Dreams (one coat!!!!), stamped with Konad Special White.
GCOCL plate C01 and Konad M52. Top coat is Seche.

Now, why this angle? Well, can you see the difference in the color? It's probably hard to tell here, but there is a little touch of pink in this light.

Baseball. Yes. My Roo plays Little League ball for the Dodgers, here in our little town. I wanted to have something blue and white for his game.

Neon's a Drag.... *wink*

My super quick, super bright post for the day. Thanks to Collette at mysimplelittlepleasures for the tips and ideas!

What I can say about this is I LOVE IT.....the neon was a tad tricky, as we all know, they dry extremely quickly and a bit satin. I can't wait to try this again! I did the "drop and drag" technique using an orange stick.

full sun.

Here are my polishes....L to R Cult Nails "Devious Nature", Impala "palmiera tropical",
Sinful Colors "Neon Melon" and of course, CG "Millennium".

My Brazilian look.

I had to attend a memorial service for a dear friend on Saturday, so not much to say about this, except that it was all Brazilian! Thanks to Sarah B. from!

It's 2 coats of Impala "verde militar" from the SPFW collection. (I absolutely am in love with this brand!) On my ring finger, I added a layer of Big Universo, "Raio Gama" (Thank you Karina!!!). What I LOVE about this flakie is that it is all blue and purple....there is not a bit of orange or yellow in this one. It is beautiful!

We Wear Pink

I loved this Cult Nails pink so much that I kept it for my "We Wear Pink" base color. Now, it might not look very MEAN to you, but it's perfect for me, today.

Thumb detail......stamped with CG Millennium and using a fimo butterfly.

I decided to take these photos against my DKNY skinny crops, because it was the most "fashionable" thing I could get my hands on quickly....(they are outside drying on the deck!)

Iused fimo flowerf on my pinky, stamped with CG M on the ring and added little (CHEAP) rhinestones. The middle is an orange flower from Cina Pro and pointer is stamped with 2 different Konad butterflies.

Cult Nails ~ Devious Nature

Isn't this pretty? I have seen so many people posting their new Cult Nails polishes, but I feel this gorgeous babe is being left out....Devious Nature is a beautiful medium pink creme with a good dose of blue.

Thumb in the sun!

And one last of this beauty in full sun in front of our Rhododendron bush. Did you know that this is the state flower of West Virginia? Well, now you do!

The formula is great, and BTW, this is ONE COAT! (With top coat.) I LOVE the round bottle, too. I am so glad I have this collection ~ to add to the first one....they are available on

Nails for a Cause.

My son's little school (I mean little - pre-K through 8th grade and 160 students!!!) had a mini Relay for Life last Friday. We were unable to attend because Roo was home sick, but I did my nails for the occasion, anyway. I was also supposed to be there to help, but you know, sometimes life has different plans.

This is S-he 301 - a beautiful light pink/purple/shimmer/'s one of my favorites for using as a base for a French mani....I tipped with Rimmel white and dotted with Golden Rose. I used plate m63 for the light overall design with Konad special Grey and the ribbon is from D08. The ribbon is stamped using Konad special Violet.

Carry on, Cancer survivors! We are all fighting with you!

Cherry Blossoms

Here is what I have been wearing since Monday. I love it so much, I didn't even wear PINK on Wednesday, although I was still quite mean....LOL So, the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C. was held March 26th - April 10th, and the blossoms are always beautiful!. I haven't been in years, but I think it's something all Americans should do once in a lifetime.......(or visitors, for that matter!)

This is NR, FBL502 (see below) as a base, and stamped with konad white and pink using plate s9, and T25!!! (the symbols are "beauty" on my middle finger and "Life/Destiny" on my ring. Thank you Bless!!!! <3

(OOH! - The elusive Right Hand!!!)

The birds were from plate SR08-1, which I ordered from Nail Art Diva!. It actually is supposed to be used with the "application device" (stamping machine), but I used it with my konad stamper and it was fine. I have the whole NAD kit, but haven't used it, yet! Things are frequently out of stock, so I was stoked to get the bird plate!

My first attempt at "freehand painting" ; I used Color Club "Positively Posh" for the branches, essence "I Love This City" for the blossoms, and white (el-cheapo, no name) for the white dots. This was a bit tougher than I had expected - maybe next time I'll try acrylic paints...but I think it looks OK.

This is what I used as my base - Nature Republic, FBL502 - it is a little holo, but with little sun, it was more like a micro-glitter.

GIGI!!!! Is basking in the sun! *snort*

So, read the information on the Sakura and see if you think I captured the essence of the meaning of these gorgeous flowers!
